Emend is a substance P/neurokinin 1 receptor antagonist launched by Merek & Company, Inc. in 2006. Emend has been approved by the FDA for the prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting. Emend is administered through injection.
Eligibility:
ACT Program for Emend, a patient assistance program provided by Merek & Company, Inc., offers Emend at no cost for up to 90 days to those who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based off of the following requirements:
- You must be a citizen of the United States or its Territories.
- You must be uninsured or underinsured.
- You must meet an undisclosed income guideline.
- You must be an outpatient currently under the care of a physician.
The medication must be sent to the physicians office.
